The national beverage of Japan for over 2500 years, saké (pronounced “sa-ke”), is a fermented rice beverage that has been enjoyed since at least the 8th century. It is now increasingly making its mark across the world, appearing on many restaurant wine lists, retail shelves, and even in the cocktails of drinks professionals.
Similar to wine, Sake is a category of its own with a unique brewing process with over 10,000 variations coming in a range of flavors that vary in complexity and style.
Melbourne Wine School has proudly joined forces with Sake Connect to offer the WSET Level 1 Award In Sake, and the WSET Level 3 Award In Sake, taught by sake expert Melissa Mills, founder of Sake Connect.
Come and join us, and explore this completely captivating national drink of Japan!
